"It's A Waverly Life" - Review and Giveaway!!!!

Sorry for the delay in getting the review done, but have you ever had a book that you were afraid to read or finish reading because you knew that you would enjoy it so much!?? So now, after finishing it, you have to sit and hope the author will write another book to continue on the series!?!! We'll, that is how I feel about this book, "It's A Waverly Life" by Maria Murnane.

If you missed the synopsis the other day...here it is again:

After a hard-won recovery from personal heartbreak and professional disappointment, thirty-year-old Waverly Bryson finds herself happily enmeshed in a new relationship, a new job, and a new decade. Her career as the advice columnist behind Honey On Your Mind is taking off, and the future of her fledgling greeting-card line, Honey Notes, is looking bright. Better yet, her long-distance relationship with handsome, NBA physical therapist Jake McIntyre is a refreshing change from the dating disasters of her twenties. But love is never easy. Even though her relationship with her ex-fiance ended two years ago, Waverly still worries she’ll end up broken-hearted again. When Waverly gets invited on the Today Show for Valentine’s Day to share advice from her dating column she’s thrilled by her big break, but a few slips on live television put her own relationships in serious jeopardy. It might just take some “divine” intervention, a la It’s A Wonderful Life, to help Waverly fix this one.

This is the 2nd book about Waverly and her adventures of going through life's ups and downs. If you didn't read the 1st book "Perfect on Paper," you should still be able to read this one with no problem, but if I were you I would get it and read it too!! (you can see my review of it HERE).

I really enjoyed the flow of the story throughout the book. Every chapter has you wondering will she or won't she do this, or that. Would "I" do what she did?? I felt like the author knew something about MY life that she put into the story! I especially liked the 'special' neighbor that is helpful to her, without her really realizing it. The only slow part of the book for me was toward the end when Waverly got everyone together at her house to make her big announcement. It just seemed a bit too long of a scene for what was said for me. If you want to sit back with your favorite drink and read a cozy story that makes you laugh and cry, this is the book for you!

The author, Maria Murnane, has created a character that could easily be any one of us single girls out there longing to find THE ONE person we want to share our lives with forever, the ONE job that will make us happy, and the friends and family that make ones life worth living!!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars!!!

Hmmmm my favorite pie. So tough. I love so many pies. In fact I prefer pies on my birthday to cakes. I love...absolutely love coconut cream pie when I am feeling exceptionally decadent, and Dutch apple with lots of ice cream every other time. :)
