My favorite Valentine's Day was 20 years ago when my sweetheart gave me a rose with an engagement ring attached to it. I didn't see it at first and couldn't understand why my now husband kept looking so strangely at me - like I was supposed to notice something! :)

I am a follower.

Thanks so much for the contest!

Last year for Valentine's day we ran a bake sale and raised over $300 for a local women's shelter! A group of girls got together the night before and made 150 chocolate suckers, and another group made baking. We packaged them together in pretty bags with a valentine. This years is running today, and we have at least $100 so far!

My favorite Valentine's Day was when I received a singing telegram from a barbershop quartet. I wrote a story on them for a local magazine and they surprised me by coming to perform at my work place as a thank-you for the publicity.

I signed up to follow your blog.
